Hi Canada,
Thank you to all of you who have been our loyal customers for years and for those of you who may not be our customers right now, but perhaps are customers in the past. I wanted to be able to share a little message with you.
My name’s Gavin Miller, I’m the senior vice president here at Flight Centre Canada.
We know that currently, these are uncertain times and for many of you, this may be the first time you’ve experienced such disruption within the travel industry and the world around us. These things are going to have you ask questions about whether or not it’s safe to travel, "When is the right time to travel?", "What if I’ve already booked travel?", "What should I do?" and "How should I respond?".
The most important thing that you can do right now is know the facts. Keep to the facts, and with those facts make factually based decisions. It is so incredibly important that you do that right now, and we at Flight Centre are here to help you with that.
We have more than 40 years' experience across the world in 23 different countries and of course here in Canada. We’ve proudly been on the shores of Canada for more than 25 years.
We’re a business full of travellers. Passionate travellers. People who know this world and also know the resilience and the power that travel provides, for ourselves and the communities in which we live and the places to which we travel.
Our Flighties make it easy. They make it personal. That’s one of the things that we are most proud of in our organization. The personal relationships that we have with you, our loyal customers in the communities in which we live.
We know in times like these, when they are uncertain, that we need to make it easy and we need to help make it easy for you. It’s an ever-changing game right now. And what we want to be able to do is to help you navigate so that you can make the smartest decisions and the most well-informed decisions, and so that you have great peace of mind when booking your travel - or perhaps managing the trip that you already have - you know the facts on whether or not you should change, adjust, wait, or perhaps cancel that trip itself.
I encourage you not to make knee-jerk reactions right now. Travel and humanity are resilient. We as an organization have been through and weathered many storms just like this. Travel historically is one of the first things that bounces back. We want to help you with that, and we want to help you through this process.
We are here to help.
We’re here to help as all of our Flighties, either in-store, over the phone, through our chat networks, please give us a call. We have resources and people who want to make sure that you feel a great sense of comfort at a time when there are so many questions out there.
Canada, we’re here for you. We know these are trying times, but we also know that the travel industry is resilient, humanity is resilient, and Canadians love to travel. And we want to help make sure that you travel better and safer, and you have all the resources with you.
Thank you,
Gavin Miller
