Refer a Friend: CONDITIONS OF ENTRY “REFER A FRIEND AND DOUBLE YOUR BIRTHDAY VOUCHER” (the “Promotion”).

The Promoter

Conditions of Entry 
Eligibility information form part of these Conditions of Entry. An individual that renders themself an Eligible Entrant, as defined below, is deemed to have accepted these Conditions of Entry. 

Entry is open to legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who are the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry, and who are subscribed to the Flight Centre Canada marketing database, have provided their day and month of birth to Flight Centre Canada and comply with the requirements set out in the “Eligibility for Promotion” terms stated in these Conditions of Entry ("Eligible Entrants").

Employees of Flight Centre Travel Group (Canada) Inc., its related bodies corporate, and their immediate families and those living in the same household of such employees are not permitted to enter.

Duration of Promotional Period 
The promotion will commence at 9:00am EST on Friday, 1 November  2024, and will continue until 11:59pm EST on Monday, 31 March 2025 (“Promotion Period”). 

Eligibility for Promotion 
Eligible Entrants must: 
(1) Refer a friend during the Promotion Period to subscribe to the Flight Centre Canada marketing database to receive promotional emails through the link unique to the customer (“Referred Subscriber”). 
(2) The Referred Subscriber must still be subscribed to the database at the time of the Eligible Entrant’s birthday for the Eligible Entrant to double their birthday voucher offering.

Referrals must be received by the Promoters during the Promotion Period. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries. Any costs associated with accessing the Promotion are the responsibility of each Eligible Entrant and are dependent on the Internet Service Provider used.

Voucher Details 
Each Eligible Entrant will receive a birthday Voucher of $50 CAD (“Voucher Recipient”). This birthday voucher may be doubled to the total of $100 CAD, if during the Promotion Period a Voucher Recipient has a Referred Subscriber that is still subscribed to the Flight Centre Canada marketing database on that Voucher Recipient’s birthday.  Vouchers to be emailed to the recipient via deals@e.flightcentre.ca (collectively the “Voucher”). 

Voucher Recipient may only receive one (1) Voucher across the Promotion Period. 
Voucher Recipient, (by accepting a Voucher) agrees that they will abide by the applicable terms and conditions for the use of the Voucher as notified by the Promoter.  
Voucher Recipients will be responsible for any tax liability (where applicable) that may arise from being awarded the Voucher. 

The Voucher is non-transferable, non-refundable, cannot be sold or exchanged for cash (except as permitted through normal use of the Voucher) and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

The Promoter can accept no responsibility for Referred Subscriber entries delayed, misdirected or undelivered. Incomplete Referred Subscriber entries will be disqualified. The Promoter shall not be responsible for technical errors in telecommunications networks, Internet access or otherwise preventing entry to any competition.

The Promoter reserves the right to terminate this Promotion and withhold the Voucher in the event that, in the Promoter's opinion improper conduct by an entrant (or any number of them) has rendered the Promotion unfair to all entrants. The Promoter will not enter into any correspondence regarding the Voucher draw.

The Voucher is subject to the additional terms and conditions (including without limitation gift card terms and conditions, currency card terms and conditions, conditions of carriage, activity waivers, and conditions and additional charges (as applicable) in relation to optional and included activities) of the Promoter and its suppliers and the Voucher Recipient and their guest(s) shall enter into all necessary contracts and paperwork directly with the Promoter as the Promoter shall require. General 
The personal information of Eligible Entrants will be collected to enable the Promoter to administer and promote this Promotion and to contact the Eligible Entrant.  Eligible Entrants agree that the Promoter may handle their personal information in accordance with the Promoter's privacy policy, which is available at: https://help.flightcentre.ca/s/article/privacy-notice-ca. Eligible Entrants agree that the Promoter may use their personal information for marketing purposes.  If an Eligible Entrant does not truthfully provide all requested personal information, the Promoter may determine that they are not eligible to receive the Voucher. 

 

Any personal information held by the Promoter and/or the Promoter in respect of any promotion will be held on record for a reasonable period to fulfil the purpose for which such personal information was collected. If an Eligible Entrant gives the Promoter permission to pass on their personal information to a third party then this shall no longer be the responsibility of the Promoter and shall be subject to the privacy policy of that third party. 
The personal information of the Eligible Entrant and their travel companion(s) (if applicable) may be provided to others assisting, including Voucher suppliers and deliverers, and to authorities that regulate this promotion.  
 
All Eligible Entrants who submit any entry to the Promoter: (i) grant the Promoter and its licensees and assignees a non-exclusive license to exercise all rights in perpetuity throughout the world in the entry material and all other material provided by the Eligible Entrant to the Promoter pursuant to this promotion at any time; and (ii) represent and warrant that the exercise of the rights granted to the Promoter in these terms and conditions will not infringe the rights of any third parties; and (iii) indemnify the Promoter against any loss or damage resulting from any breach of the foregoing representation and warranty. 
  
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for:

• Email Entrants:

8.  Any individual who complies with these Eligibility Requirements will receive one (1) initial entry (“Initial Entry”) only in the Promotion.

Additional Entry

9.  Subscription Entrants will be entitled to the following additional entries (the “Additional Entry”) post completion of the Initial Entry as follows:

• One (1) Additional Entry will be issued for any Subscription Entrant who books travel with Flight Centre Travel Group (Canada) Inc during the Promotion Period; only one (1) Additional Entry will be provided regardless of the number of travel bookings and travellers.
• One (1) Additional Entry will be issued for any Subscription Entrant who refers at least one friend to the Flight Centre Perks program and that friend signs up to the Flight Centre Perks Program; only one (1) Additional Entry will be provided regardless of how many referrals a Subscription Entrant may make.

Winner Selection and Notification

10. There will be fourteen (14) Potential Prize Winners in total selected from the Eligible Entrants as follows:

• Starting February 7, 2025, one (1) Potential Prize Winner will be selected each month between February 7, 2025 and December 19, 2025, (11 months) to receive a monthly prize of $300.00 CAD travel voucher (“Monthly Prize”).  Monthly Potential Prize Winner selection will occur within three (3) business days after the end of each calendar month from February through November 2025, and within three (3) business days after December 19, 2025;
• Starting February 7, 2025, one (1) Potential Prize Winners will be selected in three (3) separate drawings to receive a $10,000.00 CAD travel voucher (“Grand Prize(s)”), which will be selected within three (3) business days of May 31, 2025, September 30, 2025 and December 19, 2025.  All Eligible Entrants will remain eligible for entry into the Grand Prize drawing even if they have already won a Monthly Prize.

11. The Potential Prize Winners must be able to provide a current, valid Canadian Passport or Canadian Driver’s License / other Valid Canadian ID to accept the Prize.

12. The Potential Prize Winners will be determined by a random computer-generated Prize draw. Prize draw will take place at the Promoter’s Head Office located at 35 McCaul St, Toronto, Ontario M5T 1V7, Canada. The Promoter reserves the right to draw additional reserve entries and record them in case an ineligible entrant is drawn, or a Potential Prize Winner does not claim the Prize within the Prize Claim Period, as defined below. The Potential Prize Winners will have to answer a skills question correctly in order to be named a Prize Winner.  An incorrect answer to the skills questions will disqualify Potential Prize Winners from claiming the Prize. Eligible Entrants do not need to be present at the Prize drawing location to be selected as Potential Prize Winners.

13. Potential Prize Winners will be contacted by the Promoter via email provided in the Initial Entry.

14. Potential Prize Winners will have fifteen (15) days to claim the Prize (“Prize Claim Period”). If the Prize has not been claimed by a Potential Prize Winner before 5:00PM EST on the 15th day after Potential Prize Winner is contacted, or the Potential Prize Winner is not able to answer the skills questions correctly, such Potential Prize Winner may be disqualified, in Promoter’s sole discretion and an alternate Potential Prize Winner will be named from the additional reserve entries. The Potential Prize Winner from the additional reserve entries will be notified by email within three (3) business days of the end of the previous Prize Claim Period. All terms applicable to Potential Prize Winners will also apply to the additional reserve entry selection. A Potential Prize Winner that has completed the necessary requirements during the Prize Claim Period is deemed a “Prize Winner”.

15. Eligible Entrants who participate in the Promotion (including by accepting the Prize) consent to their name being announced on the www.flightcentre.ca website and www.facebook.com/flightcentreCA if they are selected as a Prize Winner.

16. The Promoter's decision is final.

Prize Details

17. Fourteen (14) prizes in total will be given out during the Promotion Period. The Prizes consist of:

• Eleven (11) Flight Centre travel vouchers to the value of $300.00 CAD each for the Monthly Prize; and,

The personal information of Eligible Entrants may be provided to others assisting with this Promotion, including prize suppliers, and to authorities that regulate this Promotion but otherwise at all times in accordance with our privacy policy. If an Eligible Entrant fails to provide their personal information in this regard, they will be unable to participate in the Promotion.

31. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Conditions of Entry or to cancel, alter or amend the Promotion at any stage if deemed necessary in its sole opinion or if circumstances arise outside of its control without awarding any compensation. These Conditions of Entry shall be subject to the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
