About Air Canada Refunds

The federal government and Air Canada have agreed to loans and equity financing that would allow the airline to access up to $5.879 billion in liquidity through the Large Employer Emergency Financing Facility (LEEFF) program. As part of the package Air Canada has agreed to several commitments, including refunds on non-refundable tickets and a promise to resume service at regional airports.

Our Travel Experts are across the new policy and ready to help with your questions or submit your ticket (if applicable) for refund.

Who Is Eligible for the Air Canada Refund?

The Air Canada COVID-19 Goodwill Period refund applies to tickets with travel dates on or after February 1, 2020 which were purchased before April 13, 2021. All refund requests must be submitted by June 12, 2021 at 11:59PM EDT to be eligible for a refund to your original form of payment.

My travel was before February 1, 2020. Am I eligible for a refund?

If your flight was cancelled before February 1, 2020, your booking does not fall into the COVID-19 Goodwill Period.
