Alaska Flights

Alaska Airlines connects Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Edmonton and Kelowna with Seattle, from where travelers can continue to cities like Juneau, Anchorage, Barrow, Fairbanks and several other destinations in the state.

The airline's Mileage Plan allows passengers to accumulate miles when they fly on Alaska Airlines or use a special credit card owned by the company. When customers reach a certain amount of miles traveled with the airline, they are eligible for discount flights to destinations serviced around North America. In addition, miles can be purchased along with first class upgrades.

Alaska Airline's Mileage Plan won Frequent Flier Program of the Year from 2002-2004, 2007 and 2008 from the Freddie Awards, one of the most highly regarded honors voted upon by consumers.

Passengers can also use Alaska Airline's Board Room in select airports. The lounge space offers customers flying on the airline a relaxing and comfortable environment while waiting to board their flight. Complimentary light refreshments, private work stations, daily newspapers and big-screen TVs are available for the passenger's convenience.

The J.D. Power and Associates 2010 North America Airline Satisfaction Study said Alaska Airlines ranked the "Highest in Customer Satisfaction Among Traditional Carriers in North America Three Years in a Row." The survey asked approximately 12,300 passengers flying on major North American airlines from April 2009 through April 2010 about their experiences as a consumer.

For the destinations serviced in Canada, Boeing 737s are flown to transport passengers from their resident city to a vacation destination. Economy flights include food available for purchase, complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and 32-inches of space between seat rows.

First class flights offer complimentary food including three-course meals for longer flights and a cheese plate for shorter trips. Free beverages, including beer and wine, are provided as well. Seats have 4 extra inches of space than economy's seats.

Entertainment is provided by digEplayers which can be rented on the plane for a small fee. First class passengers can use these portable electronics for free. DigEplayers offer a variety of movies, television programming and music to choose from.
